Congressional Award Annual Golf Classic

On Monday, May, 7, 2012, the Congressional Award Foundation held its Eighteenth Annual Congressional Award Golf Classic.  This event brought together current and former Members of Congress, as well as prominent guests such as retired NBA star and 2012 Horizon Award honoree Dikembe Mutombo, to celebrate the success of this Congressional program for youth.  Tee off took place at the beautiful TPC Potomac Golf Course at Avenel Farm, in Potomac, Maryland. Recently redesigned by golf’s most elite architects, the course is among those of the PGA Tour’s acclaimed TPC Network of clubs. All proceeds from this event have gone to benefit the Congressional Award program.
