2009 Charity Poker Event

The 4th Annual Congressional Award Charity Poker Tournament was a huge success with 140 players vying for the event’s Grand Prize; a seat at the 2010 World Series of Poker Tournament.  Special Host Phil Ivey joined Members of Congress, Chiefs of Staff and friends of the Congressional Award in support of Congress’ Only Award for Youth.  Mr. Ivey was only weeks away from playing at the final table for the 2009 World Series of Poker as one of Poker’s coveted November Nine. With the addition of a Silent Auction, spectators and reception goers were able to join in on the festivities of the night, even if they did not trust their poker skills.
