The Congressional Award New Jersey Statewide Ceremony presented by Celgene will recognize Congressional Award Bronze, Silver, and Gold Medalists across the state for their achievements in voluntary public service, personal development, physical fitness, and expedition/exploration.

Approximately 120 attendees, including elected officials, youth Congressional Award recipients and their families, corporate and community leaders, and local partners.

Celgene, a global biopharmaceutical company committed to improving the lives of patients worldwide by delivering innovative and life-changing treatments, will serve as the Title Sponsor.

U.S. Representative Leonard Lance (NJ-07) will present the awards on behalf of Congress.

News 12 New Jersey political reporter, Katie Kyros, will serve as the master of ceremonies.

The Congressional Award is the U.S. Congress’ only charity and the highest honor bestowed upon a young person through the Senate and House. Established by Congress as a public-private partnership in 1979 under Public Law 96-114, the program recognizes initiative, service, and achievement in youth ages 13 ½ – 23.
