NEW JERSEY STATEWIDE CEREMONY

Event Description: The Congressional Award Foundation, in partnership Charter Communications and the office of Congresswoman Cathy Rodgers, is organizing a virtual conversation to connect Rockwood residents with high school students in the Spokane area.  At 4 PM on March 25 on Zoom students and residents will connect online.  The Award aims to help both groups combat feelings of isolation and loneliness they may be feeling in the new year.  Specific details, including a link to participate, will be available closer to March 25. 

The event will open with brief remarks from national leaders from Erica Heyse, National Director of The Congressional Award. Most of the one hour program will have participating residents and high school-age students break into smaller virtual rooms to share positive interests, experiences, or play virtual games.  The Award believes that this program will be interesting and beneficial for both students and residents, and give students the opportunity to be more engaged in their community.
